Cadets

At Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club, we believe that the youth are the future of our club and their community.  These keen and enthusiastic young people volunteer numerous hours ensuring a safe swimming environment for the public. Due to their skills, strength and caring attributes many of our youth have been involved in rescuing and saving lives whilst on patrol, on holidays and even after training.

Cadet and youth development focuses on members between the ages of 14-25 years.  We endeavor to provide opportunities for our youth members to participate in team building and social activities and encourage the youth themselves plan their activities and the fundraising needed to cover any costs.

North Barrier Branch has a Youth Committee which is represented by Saffron Jones (2014/15) for Eimeo.  This Committee is responsible for fundraising to help keep the cost of Leadership Camps to a minimum.

Leadership Camps are held yearly and are a great way for Cadets from all over North Barrier Branch to interact and get to know each other away from the carnival arena.  Cadets are involved in team building activities such as first aid scenarios and fitness sessions.
