Eimeo SLSC Annual General Meeting, followed by General Meeting
Our AGM will be held on Sunday 21 June at 9:00am at the Eimeo Clubhouse.
As we prepare for the upcoming season, it is time to nominate for the various volunteer roles that help keep our Club running. The breadth and depth of what we do is significant—from beach patrols and Nippers programs to our regular Friday night activities. Without the support and involvement of our members, we simply cannot operate effectively.
Some roles listed in the attached document, such as Patrol Captains, are positions where we hope current members will continue unless they have already advised the Club Captain otherwise.
All positions are currently vacant, and we encourage members to consider nominating for one of the roles listed in the attached document. By sharing these responsibilities across our membership, we can spread the workload and ensure no one person is carrying too much. We have converted the previous Word document into a new format to better demonstrate how all roles work together to support the Club's operations, as well as the expectation that members of the Management Committee actively engage with and support the roles within their respective portfolios.
We understand that everyone has busy lives and competing commitments. However, a club like Eimeo is only possible because of members who are willing to step forward, contribute their time, and support the Club and its community.
We encourage all members to get involved and help shape another successful season.
Some key changes to roles from last season include the introduction of a new Officials Coordinator position and the retirement of the Carnival Nominator role due to changes associated with LiveHeats. In addition, we have added a new role for Website Coordinator. The website coordinator will be responsible for the start of season updates and if members need updates throughout the season they are to liaise with this person.
This season, our nomination process will be slightly different. Members will now be able to self-nominate for roles, with a motion to formally adopt this change being proposed at the AGM. All nominations should be submitted via the JotForm below, which will be received by our Club Administrator/Manager, Caitlin.
The nomination process will be as follows:
Nominations are now open and will close at midnight on 14 June.
Nominations can be submitted via the following form:
A list of nominees for each role, along with the AGM agenda and any items submitted for general business, will be distributed on 15 June.
Any roles that have not received nominations prior to the closing date will be opened for nominations from the floor at the AGM.
Please note: If you are interested in a particular position, you should nominate before nominations close. If another member has already nominated for a role and nominations have closed, additional nominations for that position will not be accepted on the day.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
Kind regards,
Cynthia Hegerty
