Surf Sports competition offers every member the chance to test their skills and fitness against the very best lifesavers from around the country at various local, state and interstate carnivals.
To compete at Surf Sports carnivals whether beach, water or multi-discipline events every athlete must have the minimum qualification of a proficient Bronze Medallion (Surf Rescue Certificate for U15 competitors) and must meet the patrol hour requirements and patrol team obligations of their membership category. Eimeo members compete in all ages from Nippers, through Opens to Masters and we are proud to have many champions that call Eimeo Surf Club home, especially on the beach where we excel with the best in Queensland.
We continually strive to provide the best possible training and development for all levels of athlete ability and commitment. To this end the Club offers professional coaching in a variety of disciplines and all members are encouraged to participate.

Ages- U8s to U14s (for all skill levels-beginners to advanced) Beginners are encouraged to help gain confidence & skills required for upcoming season and carnivals.
What to bring– Togs , Rashie/stinger suit. goggles, water bottle, joggers, towel, warm jacket/hoodie for after)
Skills covered- All competitive disciplines. Weather and conditions will determine what skills are covered at each session. Please make sure you have all of the above gear at every session unless advised otherwise.
Any Parents of Nippers attending who are SRC or Bronze medallion will be required to help out during the season with water safety at these training sessions.
Nippers can only attend these sessions once they have completed their pool proficiency. A run swim run proficiency will be done on the Nippers first attendance at these training sessions to assess their competency levels.
Nippers must be current financial members for insurance purposes.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ANY JUNIOR MEMBERS (U14 AND UNDER) ALLOWED TO ATTEND TRAINING WITHOUT A PARENT PRESENT AT ALL TIMES AT THE BEACH. IF THERE IS NO PARENT PRESENT THE CHILD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE UNTIL THEIR PARENT ARRIVES.
To be competitive in the water, we advise that competitors train at least 3 times a week in the pool. This is not supplied by the Club.
