Our 25th Anniversary Family Fun Afternoon was everything we had hoped for – relaxed, fun, and full of community spirit.

Thank you, Zamp, for your opening remarks. It’s an incredible milestone to celebrate the dedication of our volunteer patrollers over the past 25 years. Not including this season, a total of 102,555 patrol hours have been completed at Eimeo Beach by 389 amazing individuals – a truly outstanding effort!

It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces getting involved in the flags and enjoying the festivities at the Club. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make Saturday afternoon possible.

A special shout-out to TGA Electrical – your local Mackay Electrician – and Frontline Equipment Maintenance for sponsoring the flags event. Your support made it possible to offer prize money and add to the fun.

Nippers

Congratulations to our Nipper of the Week Award recipients, U10 Gracie Fields & U11 Zen Yonjan.

Harriet said Gracie is a little underdog, who is always doing her best and not making a big deal about it.

Zen was chosen by Harriet because he is always considerate during the Award Lesson and gives his best in all arenas. She said his speed improvement in flags and sprints is

noticeable.

Fletcher was also presented his U7 Nipper of the Week Award as he was away on the morning of his age group. He was chosen by Katie for participating in all activities with a smile on his face even when his toe was sore.

Congratulations to you all

🛟 PROFICIENCIES – IMPORTANT INFO

This season’s proficiency process looks a little different, with a strong focus on CPR-GO, which introduces significant changes to how CPR roles are defined.

👉 Before attending a practical session, you must complete your online skills maintenance. The videos explain the new CPR processes, so this step is essential.

During practical proficiency sessions, the focus will be on scenarios, with each member rotating through roles to practise the updated CPR approach. In addition, proficiencies will cover:

  • Signals

  • Radio

  • Run/Rescue

📲 How to Register:

  1. Log into eTrainu (via the Hub – note this is different to Axcelerate).

  2. Complete your online skills maintenance.

  3. Register for a practical proficiency session (this step is required so we can check your online completion beforehand).

If you need help navigating the system, please reach out to your Patrol Captain or Cynthia.

📅 Proficiency Dates -  you need to contact Cynthia asap if the below dates do not work

  • Saturday 8 November – 2:00pm
