🛟 PROFICIENCIES – IMPORTANT INFO

This season’s proficiency process looks a little different, with a strong focus on CPR-GO, which introduces significant changes to how CPR roles are defined.

👉 Before attending a practical session, you must complete your online skills maintenance. The videos explain the new CPR processes, so this step is essential.

During practical proficiency sessions, the focus will be on scenarios, with each member rotating through roles to practise the updated CPR approach. In addition, proficiencies will cover:

  • Signals

  • Radio

  • Run/Rescue

📲 How to Register:

  1. Log into eTrainu (via the Hub – note this is different to Axcelerate).

  2. Complete your online skills maintenance.

  3. Register for a practical proficiency session (this step is required so we can check your online completion beforehand).

If you need help navigating the system, please reach out to your Patrol Captain or Cynthia.

📅 Proficiency Dates -  you need to contact Cynthia asap if the below dates do not work

  • Sunday 6 October – 1:00pm

  • Friday 8 November – 2:00pm

  • Saturday 29 November – 8:00am

Welcome to Our New Club Administrator / Club Manager

We’re thrilled to welcome Jade as our new Club Administrator / Club Manager! Over the past few weeks, Jade has been shadowing Marg to learn the ropes and settling into life at Eimeo after moving up from the coast with her son and their very cute puppy. She’ll be working similar hours to Marg – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Be sure to say hello when you see her around the Club and help her put names to faces.

Although Marg has now officially retired, she certainly won’t be a stranger. Once she returns from her holiday, we’ll be hosting farewell drinks to celebrate her enormous contribution to the Club. Keep an eye out for the invitation.

🏄‍♀️ SURF SPORTS UPDATE 🏄‍♂️

Eimeo absolutely smashed it at the Magnetic Island Carnival, hosted by Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club over the weekend! 🏖️💪

A huge thank you to our coaches, officials, water safety, and age managers who made the event possible. Maggie is always a fantastic carnival — not just for the racing, but also for catching up with clubmates and friends from other clubs.

We had 31 competitors across the weekend, from U8s through to Masters (and we’re sure a few of our Masters are feeling it this week! 😅👏). Taking out 2nd Overall is a massive achievement — well done to everyone who represented Eimeo with such pride and spirit. 💛💙

    📅 10–11 October | 📝 Register [here] (closes 3 October)

🌊 Flynn & Gabby 🌊

Well done to Flynn and Gabby who competed in the Shaw & Partners World Ocean Series at Burleigh Heads today! Both represented Eimeo brilliantly and held their own against some tough Southern competition. 💪💛💙

We even heard a few people asking, “Where the hell is Eimeo?” — and now they know! 😉👏
