Surf Sports
Our competitors did a fantastic job at the Sarina Classic on Saturday – the first local carnival of the season – with Eimeo taking out Champion Club! It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces representing us, and the calm, flat conditions made it the perfect start to the season.
A huge thank you goes to our officials, water safety team, and age managers. Without these roles, our kids simply couldn’t compete. For every 7 competitors, we must provide at least 1 official. At upcoming carnivals, we’d love to see some new faces stepping into these positions.
Becoming an official is a great way to get involved – there are no sporting requirements, and it’s the perfect entry point to learn more about surf sports. At the moment, many of our officials also cover other responsibilities like IRB and water safety, so extra help would make a real difference.
If you’re interested in finding out more, please chat with Ross.
Nominations are now open for the next carnival on 20–21 September at Arcadia, Magnetic Island. Nominate: https://clothing-at-eimeo-slsc.square.site/carnivals
This carnival is always a favourite thanks to the relaxed island vibes – and it’s the perfect way to kick off the school holidays. Don’t miss out!
